I received a letter from Kenny Speight in support of our protest. Along with this included the resolution by the Commissioner's Court also supporting our cause. Thank you for your efforts.
Last night, Sterling Ridge voted yes on a resolution to support our protest. They also generously donated $300 to defray the cost of copies. Thank you Sterling Ridge! And a big Thank You to Mike Bass for his contribution.
Legends Sports Complex has also joined our protest. Thank you,Todd Parsons and the Legends Board of Directors . I received a copy of the Chamber's proposed resolution to support our protest and their proposed letter to the PUCT. We should be receiving a signed copy on Friday, Nov. 30th or shortly thereafter. This action is very much appreciated by the residents of High Oaks and Sunset Springs and all the residents who enjoy Panther Creek.
Many thanks to the Village of Cochran's Crossing Board of Directors for passing a resolution to support our efforts as well. A letter to the PUCT will be forthcoming. Thank you to Steve Leakey, President of the Alden Bridge Association for garnering support for our protest from your Board. We appreciate your support in saving our neighborhood.
I give thanks for all who are supporting our protest. You are saving my and my neighbors homes from Eminent Domain, saving our beautiful Panther Creek greenbelt, and keeping all your kids who play on the nearby sports fields healthy. May all of you receive blessings during this season.
We received 45 signatures at the Grogans Mill Farmers Market on Saturday- our highest number yet. Time is getting short. Please email your friends and neighbors to garner support....we need the forms in by the first week of December. We have received Representative Eissler's letter to the PUCT supporting our protest and a letter from Judge Sadler to the CEO of Exxon Mobil asking him to recommend that the PUCT utilize the railroad route. We have not yet heard back from Exxon. Thank you James Noack for requesting that Judge Sadler and the ORWALL Board of Directors write letters. Thank you Amy Lecoq and the Indian Springs Assn. Board for your letter of support. Today, I received 8 protest forms via US mail. On email I received a support letter from Jessica Lemmons, President of ORWALL and Senator Tommy Williams. Thank you all for your support. I received communication from the Texas Parks and Wildlife. They cannot support our protest but they will be providing recommendations that will protect fish and wildlife once CenterPoint files a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity (CCN). Previously, CPE stated that they would file in early December.
This week, I attended the Indian Springs and Panther Creek Association meetings. Both are in agreement with the Woodlands Township Board of Directors in protesting power lines in the High Oaks and Sunset Springs neighborhoods and along the southern boundary of ORWALL Sports Complex. Letters to follow.
We will be at the Grogan's Mill Farmers Market on Saturday. Come by to sign the protest form. This was a lovely gathering of residents in Grogans Point. Mary Lou Fitch allowed me to make a short presentation - 33 people signed the protest form. Many thanks to Cheryle Sanderson for sponsoring the event and supplying
food and drink. If you have not yet signed the protest, we'll be at the Grogans Mill Farmers Market tomorrow morning. I received the proposed resolution from Phillip Givens, President of Sterling Ridge Vlg. Assn., supporting our protest. They will vote on the resolution at their monthly meeting on November 28th. Protest forms are currently being made available to residents to help gather support before the monthly meeting. Many thanks to Sterling Ridge. Your support is much appreciated.
I received a copy of a letter from Kenny Speight, candidate for Precinct 3 Commissioner, to the ORWALL Board of Directors to make them aware of the power line issue. He is encouraging them to join in our protest and offered to speak with the board if needed. I received a copy of the letter that Nelda Blair, Woodlands Township Board Member, sent to the Grogan's Point Residents making them aware of the power line issue. She strongly suggested that they become involved in keeping power lines out of our neighborhood. Thanks, Nelda for your support. |
