Response: spoke to Kay, his asst. She missed the original email but is forwarding it on as of today 10/13. Received a response - he is deferring this issue to the local representatives of The Woodlands Development Company and "looks forward to a positive resolution of your concerns." The Woodlands Development Company Response: We received a letter from the Woodlands Development Company to the Public Utility Commission of Texas stating that they are supporting our view that the chosen route should not negatively impact our existing neighborhood. They cited all our concerns in the letter and recommend that the PUCT choose the railroad route. Rex Tillerson, CEO/Chairman of the Board, Exxon Mobil Response: forwarded email to Crawford Bunkley III, Community Development Manager, Exxon Mobil. He declined to send a request the PUCT to not disturb neighborhoods and to choose the railroad route. Woodlands Township Board of Directors Bruce Tough, Lloyd Matthews, Claude Hunter, Ed Robb, Nelda Blair, Tom Campbell, Peggy Hausman, Don Norrell, and Miles McKinney (Mgr. Intergovernmental Relations) Response: They have adopted a resolution to support our protest and have allocated funds for this purpose. They will be signing on as an 'intervener' with the PUCT, in order to be kept apprised of all communication between Center Point Energy and the PUCT. Miles McKinney is doing an excellent job and is in ongoing communication with Center Point. Woodlands Chamber of Commerce Response: Dr. Ann Snyder, Chairman of the Board and Karen Hoylman, President and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce wrote a letter of protest to the PUCT, following the passing of the resolution. Deborah Sargeant, President of Grogan's Mill Assoc. Response: We received a copy of the GMVA letter to the PUCT stating that they are joining the Woodlands Township and the Woodlands Development Company in protesting the power lines in our neighborhood and requesting that they utilize the railroad route. Thank you Grogan's Mill Association. Nancy Lent, President of Creekside Park Village Assoc. Response: I was invited to speak at their association meeting on Nov. 1st. They agreed to sign the protest forms and write a letter to the PUCT. Some residents promised to get their neighbors to sign as well. Waiting on the letter. Phillip Givens, President of Sterling Ridge Village Assoc. Response: I received their board's resolution to support the Township in fighting the building of power lines in Grogan's Mill. The Board also generously dedicated $300 to help defray costs. Amy Lecocq, President of Indian Springs Village Assoc. Response: I attended their monthly meeting on the 8th. We have received their letter to the PUCT, supporting the protest. Everett Ison, President Panther Creek Village Assoc. Response: I attended their association meeting on the 10th. They passed a resolution to support the protest and assigned a a committee to write their letter to the PUCT. Waiting on their letter. Steve Leakey, President of Alden Bridge Village Assoc. Response: I have received a copy of their Board's letter to the PUCT. Stuart Schroeder, President of Cochran's Crossing Village Assoc. Response: They have passed a resolution and I expect to receive their letter to the PUCT shortly. Ted Stanley, President of College Park Village Assoc. Response: He will present the issue at the next board meeting, Nov. 6th. Orwall Sports ComplexBoard of Directors Response: I have received a letter in support of the protest and a protest form signed by Jessica Lemmons, President of ORWALL. Debbie Riddle, State Representative District 150 , representative of the area including Hanover Forest, the other neighborhood with a proposed powerline route running through it. Response: no response Neil Burns, Candidate for District 8 Representative Response: He is reviewing the information on our blog and has recommended that I contact the commissioner's office. He promised to do what he can. Senator Tommy Williams, District 4 Response: He is aware of the issue in our neighborhood and is in communication with Commissioner Chance, the PUCT, and CenterPointe Energy. They will keep us updated with pertinent information. In my meeting with him, he stated that "we will not let this power line go through the neighborhood". I have his letter to the PUCT in hand. Rob Eissler, State Representative Precinct 3 Response: (10-27-11) He is joining us in our protest. He will be working with the Woodlands Township Board to determine how he can best support their efforts. I have received his letter to the PUCT. Kevin Brady, Congressman District 8, 936-441-5700, 202-225-4901 Response: none yet James Noack, Candidate for Commissioner Precinct 3 Response: We have received a letter from him to the PUCT requesting them to utilize the STV segments along the railroad. He has helped with getting a support letter from ORWALL. Kenny Speight, Candidate for Commissioner Precinct 3 Response: We have received a letter from him. Bryan Cambrice, Candidate for Commissioner Precinct 3 Response: He has put out Protest website on his Facebook and Twitter walls. I have received a copy of his letter to the PUCT. Ed Chance, Commissioner Precinct 3 & the Commissioner's Court, including Judge Alan Sadler Response: The Commissioner's Court has passed a resolution in support of our protest of proposed power lines in Montgomery County. Texas Parks and Wildlife Response: They cannot join the protest because they are a state agency but they will be submitting comments once Center Point has filed their proposal with the PUCT. Texas Master Naturalists, Heartwood Chapter Response: They are a non-profit reporting to the state, so they cannot participate. Houston Audobon Society Response: We are waiting for a response from their Advocacy Committee. |
